Would someone please fill me in on the Oil City cemeteries? I have lots of family members buried out of St. Joseph's Catholic Church and found a few at Calvary Cemetery. Many more are AWOL. I know for a fact that many more of my ancestors were baptized, married and buried from St. Joe's, but the lady at the church office is only in twice a week for a couple hours and to say she's not helpful is quite an understatement. I sent a detailed letter over a month ago before my visit and still, she, said "this is something [they] don't usually do." Telling someone where their great-grandparents are buried doesn't seem like too big an imposition to me, but there it is. My mother and I spent a day looking for them without success. Anyway - there is another really big cemetery near Calvary but sort of on the other section of town. There is no name on any of the gates to it, and it is so hilly that I do believe only a mountain goat could navigate the graves there. What's it called? Is it Grove Hill? Since I can't get any help from people in Oil City, I would greatly appreciate any help from other folks here.
